1. NAME <\/b><\/p>

The name of the party is IMPUQUKO EZWENILETHU (IQZ)<\/p>

2.PREAMBLE<\/b><\/p>

We are interested in tackling issues that are important to Middelburg citizens, such as a high rates and taxes, rural water and power, clinic access, water and sanitation, unemployment and land difficulties<\/p>


<\/p>

3.THE FOUNDING OBJECTIVE OF IMPUQUKO EZWENILETHU <\/b><\/p>

a.Impuquko Ezwenilethu is a political movement that will register for and \r

participate in the local government elections.\r<\/div>
b. Impuquko Ezwenilethu shall oversee the election process of IQZ\r<\/div>
candidates for:\r<\/div>
i. The office of the Mayor in Steve Tshwete Local Municipality.\r<\/div>
ii. The offices of Ward Councillors in Steve Tshwete Local Municipality.\r<\/div>
c. Adopt and promote prevailing policy stances, electioneering techniques, \r<\/div>
and citizen mandates.\r<\/div>
d. Establish rules of procedure to ensure that all Impuquko Ezwenilethu \r<\/div>
supporters have equal opportunities to participate in decisions concerning \r<\/div>
candidate selection, policy formulation, and the conduct of other \r<\/div>
Movement affairs, without regard for race, gender, sex, sexual orientation, \r<\/div>
pregnancy, marital status, ethnic or social origin, age (if voting age), \r<\/div>
disability, religion, culture, or language.<\/div>

4. LEGAL PERSONALITY & STATUS OF IMPUQUKO \r<\/b><\/div>
EZWENILETHU<\/b><\/div>
\r<\/div>

<\/div>
a. Impuquko Ezwenilethu has full legal persona and is capable of suing and \r<\/div>
being sued in its own name.\r<\/div>
b. Impuquko Ezwenilethu may hold, own, purchase, alienate, lease, \r<\/div>
mortgage and pledge any moveable and immoveable property in its own \r<\/div>
name and shall do so in strict accordance with applicable legislation and \r<\/div>
the provisions of this Constitution.\r<\/div>
c. Impuquko Ezwenilethu shall conduct its activities and business in strict \r<\/div>
accordance with the provision of this Constitution and all actions carried \r<\/div>
out by duly authorized individuals acting in a representative capacity, shall \r<\/div>
bind the Organisation.\r<\/div>
d. The Impuquko Ezwenilethu Leadership Committee represented by the \r<\/div>
Chairperson or Leader of IQZ may act on behalf of and legally bind IQZ in \r<\/div>
all matters.\r<\/div>
e. The Chairperson or Leader of IQZ or someone authorized by her or him, in \r<\/div>
writing, shall represent IQZ in all legal proceedings.\r<\/div>
f. All monies received and collected in the name of or on behalf of Impuquko Ezwenilethu vest in IQZ itself.<\/div>

<\/div>
5.OUR POLITICS & VALUES<\/b><\/div>
\r<\/b><\/div>

<\/div>
a. Impuquko Ezwenilethu is a voluntary political movement whose policies \r<\/div>
are established by its volunteers and leadership on a regular basis, strictly \r<\/div>
adhering to the following values:\r<\/div>
i. Freedom: which means that all activities and pursuits of Impuquko \r<\/div>
Ezwenilethu must further the rights of South Africans in pursuit of \r<\/div>
well- being at individual, family and community level.<\/div>
ii. Justice: which means that Impuquko Ezwenilethu shall aim to \r<\/div>
further entrench the principle of fairness, beyond just equality \r<\/div>
before the law but also building a society that is fair \u2013 where income \r<\/div>
or social status do not determine whether any individual can reach \r<\/div>
their full potential. It is a society where we set out to actively reverse \r<\/div>
the legacy of colonialism and apartheid, creating a society where \r<\/div>
human dignity is paramount.\r<\/div>
iii. Equality: which means that Impuquko Ezwenilethu shall endeavour \r<\/div>
to achieve true equality for every citizen, where with equal and\r<\/div>
meaningful access to opportunities that lead to a healthy, safe &\r<\/div>
fulfilling life and the right to fully participate in democratic processes \r<\/div>
and the tangible benefits that flow from freedom as enshrined in the\r<\/div>
Constitution of the Republic of South Africa.\r<\/div>
iv. Solidarity: which means that Impuquko Ezwenilethu shall build a \r<\/div>
society that meets the basic needs of all its citizens and ensures \r<\/div>
human well- being, human development, fulfilment of rights and \r<\/div>
access to opportunity for all.\r<\/div>
v. Integrity: which means that Impuquko Ezwenilethu, its \r<\/div>
representatives and volunteers shall always, act in strict \r<\/div>
accordance with the tacit social contract between the people and \r<\/div>
those they choose as representatives, which requires such \r<\/div>
representatives to act in the public interest through civil and political \r<\/div>
service, always underpinned by the fundamental principles of \r<\/div>
transparency and accountability.<\/div>
\r<\/div>

<\/b><\/div>
6. MEMBERSHIP OF IMPUQUKO EZWENILETHU<\/b><\/div>
\r<\/b><\/div>

<\/div>
a. Any person wishing to participate in the activities, business or work of the organization must:<\/div>
i. Be 16 Years of age, or older.<\/div>
ii. Be a South African Citizen or Permanent resident.\r<\/div>
iii. Agree to abide by this constitution; and\r<\/div>
iv. Abide by Impuquko Ezwenilethu\u2019s vision, mission and values.<\/div>
\r<\/div>

<\/div>
b. Impuquko Ezwenilethu is a volunteer-based organisation, where the status \r<\/div>
of such volunteers shall be determined in accordance with the degree and \r<\/div>
extent of their participation and contribution to Impuquko Ezwenilethu.\r<\/div>
c. Impuquko Ezwenilethu shall recognise four categories of membership, \r<\/div>
namely:<\/div>
\r<\/div>

<\/div>
i. Supporter:<\/div>
\r<\/div>

<\/div>
(1) Shall be entitled to register on Impuquko Ezwenilethu database \r<\/div>
and access the internal and external communications.\r<\/div>
(2) Shall be free to attend Impuquko Ezwenilethu events and \r<\/div>
participate in Impuquko Ezwenilethu activities on an ad-hoc \r<\/div>
basis\r<\/div>
(3) Shall not be entitled to vote in the Impuquko Ezwenilethu\r<\/div>
Convention and\/or the National Leadership elective conference<\/div>
\r<\/div>

<\/div>
ii. Volunteer:<\/div>
\r<\/div>

<\/div>
(1) Shall formally register their status as a volunteer of Impuquko \r<\/div>
Ezwenilethu via the online database\r<\/div>
(2) Shall contribute to the work and objectives of Impuquko Ezwenilethu<\/div>
(3) Shall be a registered voter\r<\/div>
(4) Shall be bound by the Impuquko Ezwenilethu code of ethics\r<\/div>
(5) Shall be eligible to apply for or contest for any leadership position with IMPUQUKO EZWENILETHU.<\/div>
(6)Shall not be precluded for contesting elections as a public representative if they do not already occupy a position of leadership with IQZ.<\/div>
(7)Shall render their services on a voluntary basis and shall not be entitled to any remuneration <\/div>
(8)Shall lead or contribute to micro-fundrasing initiatives and may donate to the organization <\/div>
iii.     Organiser:<\/div>

<\/div>
(1) Shall be a volunteer of IMPUQUKO EZWENILETHU who acts in a formal capacity on behalf or the employ of IMPUQUKO EZWENILETHU <\/div>
(2) May be eligible to receive remuneration for their services <\/div>
(3)Shall be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the activities of volunteer's <\/div>
(4)May be allocated specific roles in accordance with the various layers of government <\/div>

<\/div>
IQZ Champion:<\/div>
A person who was made consistent and significant contributions in some respect, to the organization. This is an honorary designation which is afforded to diligent and dedicated volunteers.<\/div>

<\/div>
d. IMPUQUKO EZWENILETHU shall keep and maintain a database of personal information pertaining to registered volunteers including but not limited to:<\/div>
           I. Name<\/div>
           ii. Surname <\/div>
           iii. Identity Number <\/div>
           iv. Contact Number <\/div>
           v. IMPUQUKO EZWENILETHU Volunteer ID; and <\/div>
           vi. Residential Address <\/div>

<\/div>
e.The above - mentioned personal information shall be held and processed in accordance with the the IMPUQUKO EZWENILETHU Privacy Policy and with the strict , defined purpose of carrying out the business and activities of the IMPUQUKO EZWENILETHU.<\/div>

<\/div>
f. Registration of volunteers of IMPUQUKO EZWENILETHU shall not attract any joining or membership fees, and membership and participating in the organization shall be free of charge to all volunteers.<\/div>

<\/div>
7. OFFICE BEARERS <\/b><\/div>

<\/b><\/div>
     <\/b>The IMPUQUKO EZWENILETHU bearers shall include:<\/div>
      Municipal Leadership Collective <\/b><\/div>
         I) Municipal\/Regional Convenor.<\/div>
         ii) Municipal Field Organisers <\/div>
         iii) Voter Registration and Education Coordinator;                       and <\/div>
         Local Campaign Collective <\/b><\/div>
          I) <\/b>Community\/Local Field Organiser<\/div>
          ii) Voter Registration and Education Coordinator <\/div>
          iii) Community Sector Coordinator;and<\/div>
           iv) Community Volunteer.<\/div>

<\/div>
8.DISCIPLINARY & DISPUTE RESOLUTION <\/b><\/div>

<\/b><\/div>
The IMPUQUKO EZWENILETHU Leadership Collective shall determine and adopt a Code of Conduct which shall inform and guide the disciplinary  undertaken <\/div>
if any volunteer or representative of IQZ contravenes any provision of this <\/div>
Constitution, the IQZ Code of Ethics or other relevant legislation.<\/div><\/div>
\r<\/div>

<\/b><\/div>
9. INTERNAL DEMOCRACY<\/b><\/div>
\r<\/b><\/div>

<\/div>
a. Subject to the provisions of this Constitution, voting at meetings of all \r<\/div>
bodies of IQZ is by a show of hands, unless a secret ballot is required by \r<\/div>
the person presiding or by a quarter of the members present.\r<\/div>
b. Decisions at all meetings are taken by a majority of members present and \r<\/div>
voting.\r<\/div>
c. An online or telephonic meeting shall only be regarded as a meeting if a \r<\/div>
quorum of the participants is present and if notice of such an online or \r<\/div>
telephonic meeting has been given to the delegates.<\/div>

\r<\/div>
10. AMENDMENTS<\/b><\/div>
\r<\/b><\/div>

<\/div>
a. No provision of this Constitution may be varied, save for with the support \r<\/div>
of two-thirds of voting delegates present at the IQZ Convention. Any \r<\/div>
contemplated variation of this Constitution that subverts or impugns any \r<\/div>
relevant legislation, related regulations or the Constitution of the \r<\/div>
Republic of South Africa shall not be effected.<\/div>
b. Any provision of this Constitution deemed unlawful by a competent \r<\/div>
forum, shall be rectified in a special sitting of the National Council within \r<\/div>
no more than 60 days from the date of such declaratory order.<\/div>
